Sarah Siddiqui Named April Rotary Student of the Month
Sycamore Community School District 427 congratulates Sycamore High School student Sarah Siddiqui on being named Rotary’s April Student of the Month.
Siddiqui began her time in the district at North Grove Elementary and is now an active student at SHS. Siddiqui is President of the French club, a member of the World Youth Club, and a violinist in the Sycamore Jazz Strings, Chamber Orchestra, and a selective quartet. She also plays violin in Northern Illinois University’s Symphonia. Perhaps because of her involvement, Siddiqui is most proud of her growing ability to network — she enjoys meeting new people and participating in new activities.
Upon graduating from SHS, Siddiqui plans to attend the University of Illinois in Chicago to study psychology. “It is a goal of mine to utilize my education in a way where I can give back to others, and experience new situations where I can learn from diverse people,” said Siddiqui.
