Summer School Offerings

Picture of a girl reading a book in front of her computer
Whether they want to get ahead or stay on track, summer school at SHS is a great way for students to continue learning.
SHS is glad to offer opportunities for students to stay academically-involved beyond the school year. Students are able to choose from a number of sessions for courses including consumer economics, driver education, public speaking, and more. A full list of our current course offerings can be found on this page.

Schedule - Summer of 2024

Summer school offerings for 2024 will be offered Monday-Thursday except where noted. The times for classes are 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. See the registration forms for more information for each class.

Registration Forms will be available on Monday, March 4 in the Counseling Office. Registration closes on Friday, April 26 (or until the course is full). Space in specific programs may be limited and fill quickly. Students will be admitted to each class on a first-come, first-served basis and only if all school fees have been paid. If a class closes due to full enrollment, students may be placed on a waiting list. Placement on the waiting list is not a guarantee of eventual enrollment in the desired class.

Minimum class size will be 15 students. Classes not having a minimum enrollment may be canceled. Courses will be offered contingent upon the number of students and availability of an instructor. If courses are canceled, money will be refunded. Enrollment is on a first-come basis. Class sizes are limited.

The cost for these classes is $200, except for Driver’s Ed which is $250. Attaching a check to the application when turning in the registration form to the Main Office is the best way to ensure your spot in a class; online payment will open Friday, May 3 and close Friday, May 10. Please note: all current and past student fees owed must be paid in full by Friday, May 10 or the student will be dropped from the roster.
